Hi – I’m getting hitched on August 30 near Corvallis. I would like to have a square dance caller and a fiddle band. I know this is short notice but if anyone can help it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.  You can contact me at bcbrant@gmail.com

Pretty funny

What a treat to hear the great Bryan Bowers autoharping this past weekend at the Kootenai River Bluegrass Festival.  The entire festival was a joy and pleasure.  Great band line-up including our very own Mike and Tari Conroy with the amazing Curtis Rathburn playing bass.  More about the other music and jamming later.  But for now check out Bryan doing his thing on the autoharp…  amazing

Then (sound cuts out in the middle but comes back after a few secs)

Now

Read more about Bryan on his website

Just for fun, I put together a free website that is designed to promote bluegrass music among bluegrass fans and “friends” of bluegrass fans. www.bluegrassonthetube.com

The website currently has over 400 videos in the library, representing a wide variety of artists and styles of bluegrass. New videos are added weekly.

In addition to direct access to the entire library, I have incorporated a Subscription Service, also free, which delivers a new video each day. (no spam, easy opt-in, easy opt-out).

Please take a look. Give it a try. I would appreciate your feedback.

Great job of making lemonade out of lemons

Same thing happened to my Scheerhorn flying in one of those high priced Calton flight cases on DELTA.  Same exact everything, ‘cept I didn’t write this great song!!!  The chorus is going to be running through my head all day now. I Love it!

Hey kids – will be glad to see you this weekend! Will be honored to get to see Sierra Hull – - – it will all be wonderful I’m sure – - see you soon! arlene

As bluegrass fans you’ll probably find the following performers very entertaining at this years Butte Folks Festival.  The entire festival is FREE

Sierra Hull & Highway 111, Bluegrass

Garry Harrison & The New Mules, Old-Time

Texas Shorty, Texas Fiddle

Wayne Henderson, Appalacian flatpicker

Here’s a link to all the performers from the National Folk Festival Website.
